Description
As a Commercial Officer within the Information Directorate you will provide direct support to D Info Commercial Team Leader. You will be responsible for supporting and managing Commercial activities in the Procurement and Contract Management specialisms.
- Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships within all areas within the Army, specifically D Info, ensuring requirements are placed on contract in a timely and effective manner, meeting both D Info Commercial and Customer needs.
- The preparation, drafting, approval, issue, evaluation, award documentation (within Commercial Licence delegation) and management of all contracts within the team’s remit, delivered for D Info.
- Provide assurance that all commercial activity is conducted in accordance with current EU Procurement and Government procurement policy.
- Provide advice and guidance on the current and developing issues within the business area. Working towards solutions.
- Examine, negotiate and authorise non-competitive contract amendments within delegated authority.
- Provide a reactive and resourceful response to emerging commercial issues and risks, often delivering crisis management/problem solving when required to the local team, commercial senior management and the Army customer.
- Ensure all Management Information (MI) data is kept up-to-date.
- Make full use of the CP&F system for contract drafting, procurement and contract management.
Skills & Experience:
Self-starter
Cyber hardware / software / License
G Cloud etc – IT related CCS frameworks
Procurement experience – ability to secure contracts (Pre and post contract – complete cradle to grave) – high value contracts
Public sector experience – Essential (for CCS frameworks)
Public sector experience (Essential)
MOD (CP&F) – experience would be ideal. (Desirable)
